United Nations Australian Association
Andrea Tokaji is a Member of the United Nations Australian Association and operates within the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 Targets as global indicators of best practice.
Our Solution approach includes a focus on disrupting and curbing the socially normalised behaviours of gender based and sexual violence in cooperation with Goals 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17 of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women, the Declaration of the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Trafficking Protocol, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, recognising that all persons have intrinsic value, dignity and worth, and cannot therefore be bought and sold, and their bodies cannot be rented - no matter the price.
Goal 8.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals states:
“take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labour, end modern slavery and human trafficking and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labour, including recruitment and use of child soldiers, and by 2025 end child labour in all its forms”
is our underlying target in partnership with the International Labor Organisation and the Walk Free Foundation, as a lead thought leader in providing preventative solutions to the gravest human rights disaster in our world today through consultancy to corporations and in providing alternate restorative justice pathways, such as mediation.
